Share the Magical moments
I read in the lonely planet - Orlando is not just famous for its theme parks and resorts but well, I went to uesday solely for the Parks! And it was a great magical journey...Having talked to people and I changed my original plan for just visiting the Disneyworld Resorts, I decided to try both the Universal Studio and Disney Parks there. Spending 2 days hopping from one park to another, altogether I only made it to 3 Disney's and 2 of Universal's; but it was fun and exhausting. In the end, I think I enjoyed the following the most:
Universal Studio & Islands of Adventure
1) Great Splash Mountain Ride
- You go on a boat and it takes you to see some dinosaurs and then there is a slope that you will get splash into the water!
2) City Walk
- A great area with cineplex, restaurants, bars and clubs; as the park opens until 10pm so there is great atmosphere at night. (note: it has the largest Hard Rock Cafe in the world!!)
Disneyworld Resorts (I did not make it to Animal Kingdoms and the Seaworld...)
1) Indiana Jones live theatre
- That is amazing, it has a great show for some scenes taken from the movie; but more excitingly, they have the director and actors and technicians explaining how the explosives and action scenes are shot in movies!
2) Share the Dreams come true Parade
- Of course this year is Disney's 50th Anniversary and it is celebrating with the visitors. The parade with all the legendary characters Mickey, Cinderella, Snow White, Donald Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, you name it...
3) World Showcase
- A show piece of 11 countries/cultures, including USA, Germany, Norway, Mexico, China, Japan, Canada, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Italy...highlights for me are the promotion for HK's new Disneyland in the China display and the miniature for Hall of Prayer from Beijing!
4) Coral Reef, the restaurant
- This is a restaurant featuring seafood, with a huge aquarium accomodating various species from the ocean. So, you can enjoy the fish watching guide while you are eating your grouper or snapper! (I had shrimps...)
5) Disney MGM Studio
- Colorful Christmas lightings comes with romantic music, it is a great place to spend the night. I am glad that I decided to stay late in the park on my second day instead of leaving earlier to come back to Tampa.
Afterall, of course, I also enjoy the road trip from Tampa to Orlando on I-4 (the Interstate # 4). It was a great memory for me and I am looking forward to my second magical journey in HK in less than a month!
